About

As a writer, Kyle is particularly interested in the creative phase of writing. So much attention is given in writing workshops to the editing process, but little focus is given to the mental and emotional process of putting words on the page. Kyle's workshops focus heavily on this creative aspect, on how to create and reconstruct poems in order to discover their essence or core, before moving on to the latter stages of editing and altering language.

Kyle D. Craig is faculty member of the Indiana Writers Center. He teaches classes on both free verse poetry and Japanese forms poetry. His free verse poems have been published in Tar River Poetry, Sou'wester, Blue Earth Review, South Dakota Review, and Flying Isand. His Japanese forms poems have been published in numerous journals both nationally and internationally. His first collection of poems, Invisible Tea, came out in August of 2016.
